The Gilmore Car Museum is more than just a collection of beautiful cars, it is an educational opportunity for all ages like no other.
The Model T Driving Experience
You’ll go back to driver’s training – Old School! This class puts you behind the wheel of an authentic Model T Ford for an experience you won’t soon forget!
Each year, typically starting in mid-January and running into Spring, the museum welcomes historians, authors and educators to share compelling multi-media programs on a variety of topics. From Titanic, Gangsters, and World War II to little known automotive pioneers, Duesenbergs and Muscle Cars you’re sure to find something that will grab your attention.
K-12 Educational Programs
Each year, the Museum offers free educational programs to K-12 students — here or in your classroom — designed around Michigan educational benchmarks that cover everything from Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to History and Art.
Gilmore Garage Works
An after-school program were high school students work along with adult mentors working on an automotive restoration project.
Museum Speakers Bureau
Members of our talented team can visit your organization — Car Club, Civic Group, Historic Society, Library, Classroom and etc. — and present an engaging and entertaining program on a variety of history topics.
